WHIMSY YOU CAN PIECE TOGETHER

This puzzle was so much fun to work! The pieces fit well and they feel like velvet. The matte finish is an added plus. I can tell that Chuffed Puzzles takes a lot of pride in their product. The box is top quality and with the magnetic closure, it looks like a book on my shelf. The zippered canvas bag that the pieces come in is another added gem. I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I'm wishing Chuffed Puzzles a long and prosperous future.

Okay buckle up, here's my long, intensely dorky review of "Last Chance Gas" and Chuffed puzzles in general.

I bought "Last Chance Gas" on a whim. There are quite a few indie puzzle companies cropping up lately, and I have not been overly impressed with any of them. Mostly they're fine, but no standouts. Chuffed frankly blows them all out of the water.

For starters, shipping was fast, and I appreciate that I didn't have to sign up for some app to track the package.

The packaging is BEAUTIFUL as well as functional. The boxes have full color, matte finish photos of the puzzles themselves, and the color matching is superb. No fades or blurring, no cropping or weird aspect ratios. The cardboard is study as hell, and I'll be honest that at first I was confused about how to get the puzzle out at all because I was so entirely NOT expecting the magnetic close. The cardstock cutout stand that's included is a wonderful touch, though I personally preferred the size of the image on the box and just used that. Still, it's a thoughtful addition.

I was even impressed with the bag. Generally speaking, the bag (if included at all) is a sad, flimsy, drawstring contraption that never totally closes and which I toss almost immediately. Chuffed bags are well made: medium weight canvas with a metal zipper enclosure, and neat, secure stitching.

The puzzle pieces themselves are a dream. The image quality is gorgeous. I would call it a true matte finish; I had an overhead light on at some points while working on it and there was very little glare. The detail is amazing, as well. It's clear Chuffed really cares about showcasing the work of the artists they partner with. The heft and size of the pieces are lovely. The compressed cardboard feels sturdy and the backing is smooth.

One thing I want to highlight about the pieces is that they came entirely separated. This was such a lovely surprise and makes me think Chuffed staff really are avid puzzlers. There were no pieces stuck together, no tears, no peeling, ZERO shavings. Heritage, high quality brands like Cobble Hill can't manage that.

The pieces are a grid pattern, but for myself I didn't have a single false fit. The pieces fit together solidly; not too ridig but not all loosey-goosey, either. I also appreciate how none of the pieces were cut in a way that would compromise their integrity. I have bought several puzzles recently where pieces had arms cut so thin that they tore off before I got them out of the box.

Again, ZERO shavings.

As far as difficulty -- everyone's mileage will vary here. Personally, I found it to be nicely challenging, but not aggravating. I like to puzzle leisurely, and I worked on this one for about 45 minutes to an hour each night for five nights before I finished. It was lovely.

Overall, this puzzle was a joy to do. Just an elevated puzzle experience all around. When I was about halfway through, I bought the other five puzzles Chuffed has and I'll be starting another one today. I hope they add more soon.

Amazing artwork and piece quality. I redo puzzles all the time and now some of my faves I wince at the piece quality. I've done two Chuffed Puzzles so far. Looking forward to them introducing more in the future.

First of all, I never write reviews. But I felt compelled to write a review because I loved the puzzle I purchased from Chuffed so much and look forward to being one of their frequent customers. It was the artwork done by Alex Heywood that captured me initially and interested me in buying the puzzle. Actually, all of the puzzles on their site are dope and I hope they continue to add more from Alex. I would purchase anything they have of his. His artwork is amazing. I’ve even gone online and gonna purchase a book he illustrated. Secondly, the puzzle came in a beautiful box, with carefully curated design artwork to coordinate with the puzzle…can you tell aesthetics matter to me? Also, instead of those stupid plastic bags, the puzzle pieces were inside of a lovely reusable zippered bag! Love it!!! There was almost NO puzzle dust, the pieces went together easily, but they were unique enough that you didn’t get them confused with several different spaces. I buy puzzles from companies all of the time. I usually limit myself to 500 pieces because they are a guilty pleasure and I don’t like taking weeks to do them. It’s supposed to be a fun pastime for me, not this project hanging over my head. This was so fun, I really loved the artwork and the packaging was just an added bonus to me. I will definitely be purchasing more from Chuffed! So glad I found them!!! Keep adding more amazing entries in the 500 piece range! (; You rock!

First Chuffed puzzle. Just opened the box and dumped the pieces out. I’m now worried about my future enjoyment of other brands of puzzles. The bar has been raised!!! …Significantly!! The presentation was really fresh and pleasant but the puzzle pieces themselves are simply a showstopper! Yes, I’m more than a little impressed.

THe puzzle are a very good quality, and what is so special is the finish on it; it so soft... very fun to do. For now they don't have alot of choices but I hoep it will come.

I follow a jigsaw forum on Facebook and someone had put together Last Chance Gas. I loved the design and found Chuffed online. I ordered two puzzles, they arrived quickly and with great boxes, a pop up picture and zippered pouch. The graphics, design and graphics are great especially for the cost. I am thrilled with this brand.

I got this puzzle as a Christmas present for my sister, who’s a puzzle fanatic. She absolutely loved the artwork, but continued to be impressed by the quality. The puzzle comes in a canvas zippered bag in a gorgeous box (yes, even the inside). Theres also a full image of the artwork set on a firm cardstock that can stand up on its own, making for each reference for all puzzling along. My sister said it was one of her favorite puzzles, and she wishes Chuffed made more puzzles! She plans to frame the small cardstock insert :)

This puzzle reminds me my days living in Tokyo. It was a great challenge putting it together, and now it’s hanging up in my living room!

Amazing puzzle. The quality is fantastic. We are very pleased with our purchase, and plan on getting more puzzles soon!

Puzzle box comes with a nice little bag w/ a zipper to hold the pieces. Puzzle took 2 of us (with scattered help from friends) around 2-3 days. Definitely felt challenging but in a fun way, not just a test of endurance. Art is amazing and love that they include the artist name on the box. Good puzzle and good time had by all!

The packaging is really top quality and the pieces are of good quality. Art of course is amazing. This would make a good gift too for a puzzle lover.

This puzzle is the best quality I have worked! It was such a pleasure completing this puzzle! The artwork is beautiful! It comes with a burlap tote for easy storage. I will definitely be buying again!
